Company Internships

Interning at a technology company, engineering firm, or even startup is an incredibly rewarding experience and is a great opportunity for high school students to get a feel for working in a corporate setting. However, scoring a company internship will require a lot of time, work, and patience. Often times, companies won’t contact applicants who do not pass the screening round. If this happens, don’t be discouraged and just move on. There are many more opportunities available if you are persistent. The process will be hard, but remember: “With great effort comes great rewards.” Good luck!

Microsoft High School Intern Program Pudget Sound, WAN	The Microsoft High School Intern Program is a paid summer internship program for local Puget Sound high school juniors and seniors (at least age 16). Northrop Grumman High School Involvement Partnership Program (HIP) Baltimore, MD	HIP is a summer program for over 100 students from 12 different Baltimore City high schools that allow them to be mentored by Northrop Grumman employees and gain real world work experience.  There will be individual projects, team projects, and presentations to senior leadership. It also provides high school seniors with school credit and on-the-job experience (only at certain locations). Sandia National Laboratories Albuquerque, NM Livermore, CA	Sandia National Laboratories focuses on applying advanced science and engineering research to improve national security.
