Naval architects and marine engineers help design and construct ships, boats, submarines, and other water and air-related equipments. They have to take into account the possible adverse effects of weather, rust, wear and tear, and safety on the ships. This is a very specialized major of engineering that is only offered in around 15 schools in the U.S.
